My vow.. to you, TAI...

My vow is to NEVER let the Sarah Palin jokes die. They're just too awesome. I promise to ask what it's like to be her, and tell her to say hi to her mother for me.

Get Your War On

Where To Shop - HRC Buying Guide

Human Rights Campaign developed this exhaustive list of companies and how they relate to 'the homosexual agenda'. (I have not received a single memo or newsletter regarding THA and to be honest I'm a bit bummed). It's very straight(ha!)-forward: good comapnies are listed in green, less tolerant ones in red and yellow for in the middle. The 17 page PDF is available here. Special thanks to Colin for bringing this to my attention.

Palin Pranked By Montreal Comedians

Man, even with increasingly obvious hints that this was a hoax she just continued to go along with it. This is both funny and painful. [Daily Kos]

Last Minute Voting Info For Californians

So California, as usual, has a litany of bond proposals and propositions and so forth in addition to the national stuff. There are dozens of these props and bonds and on top of that I don't really know much of who is running for city council, supervisor, etc. here in San Francisco. A lot of people seem to get info from the local newspapers but I'm skeptical because I don't know who is paying what for advertising. So, here are a few sites I have found that I'm browsing over. If anyone living in California has other suggestions of where to look for real information, I'd appreciate it if you posted links.
First up: [SPUR - San Francisco Urban Development Research] This group seems to be composed mostly of architects and civil engineers who look at urban development in a more European way. IE, growth without sprawl and generally in a Green way. I trust these guys a bit more than the Sierra Club, which although well-intentioned can be a little too over-the-top at times.
Next, League of Women Voters. They've been around for a while and seem to do their research. They also are non-partisan and do not accept money from anyone.
Last up is San Francisco Tenant's Union. Some of you own property (lucky bastards) but I still rent so I took a peek here.
Any other suggestions please add on in the comments.

Ted Stevens Found Guilty

Ted Stevens is found guilty of all seven corruption charges. Yes, he will probably die of old age before the numerous appeals are done and yes, he probably won't do any real time even if he doesn't. Still, I wouldn't put it past him to implicate Palin in exchange for a plea bargain. [ABC News]

So, Whats up B?

The Ashley Todd Thing....

'Of course, not all conservative bloggers are convinced that Todd is lying. As Right-Wing propaganda "media watchdog" organization Newsbusters helpfully points out, there's actually nothing suspicious about Todd's wound if we simply assume that the mugger carved it into her face while she was hanging upside-down from a tree branch like a bat.' Zombie Games

With the election and All Hallows EVE days away, my thoughts turn to that which terrifies me. Imagine my delight in finding a whole website of games dedicated to the scariest/most awesome (well, neck and neck with El Cupacabra) of all monsters:
Zombie Games
I personally recommend "The Endless Zombie Rampage"

Colin Powell Endorses Obama

Colin Powell has lost a lot of cred over the Iraq war but this is still worth listening to. Thank you General Powell, I think you make some very good points. [Meet the Press with Colin Powell]

Was There Too Much Sex And Profanity In The HBO Presidential Debate?

Obatman v. McPenguin!

This seems strikingly similar to the most recent presidential debate:

Clowns versus KKK

http://asheville.indymedia.org/article/107Clowns

“White Power!” the Nazi’s shouted, “White Flour?” the clowns yelled back running in circles throwing flour in the air and raising separate letters which spelt “White Flour”.

“White Power!” the Nazi’s angrily shouted once more, “White flowers?” the clowns cheers and threw white flowers in the air and danced about merrily.

It's a good thing we bailed out AIG...

Because if we didn't, Then they couldn't enjoy the half a million dollar retreat that their top execs just went on. Cost Breakdown:

AIG documents obtained by Waxman's investigators show the company paid more than $440,000 for the retreat, including nearly $200,000 for rooms, $150,000 for meals and $23,000 in spa charges.

WTF... I hope some heads roll (But know that none will)...

Fuck You China

It's about that time- no, not to bring forth either the rhythm or the rhyme.

It's almost time to pick the Nobel Peace Prize winner- and it looks like China decided it was time to swing its Dong about.
