Heh...

I'm going to avoid the Easy targets, wherein I make a bunch of broad 'Gee, how is that preaching abstinence working for you' comments.. or the cheap pandering for the women's vote.

I'll avoid how, apparently, insiders are saying that her choice was very Last Minute because apparently he wanted Joe Leiberman or Tom Ridge.

No, I'll jump to the Lets get my brother-in-law fired when he tries to divorce my sister scandal that, I think, will end up costing McCain a lot more. Maybe it's nothing.. but, McCain is no 'Slick Willy'.. I think that this stuff will bounce and STICK.

The question is: Will Palin have to drop out, and hurt the ticket more by having McCain try to find another VP?

What's not to adore?

She's anti-abortion, anti-gay, anti-atheist, anti-environment, pro-gun, pro-hunting, pro-white-man's-burden. Yeehaw!!!

It will be an interesting week.

I get the feeling that Palin won't drop out of the race. It seems she was brought in to secure the Evangelical vote. The religious right will probably just dismiss any negative publicity as a liberal media smear campaign. Let's face it, you can be corrupt, incompetent, spineless and dumb as a post but as long as you believe in Jay-sus you'll get the support of the religious right. I'll admit I don't know too much about Tom Ridge but most of the other candidates didn't sit too well with the Jesus freaks. Mike Huckabee is the only suitable replacement I can think of but he's a Populist and is thus loathed by big business and old money. Regardless, if anything is going to happen, I think it needs to be in the next 24 hours. (Wednesday night is her acceptance speech, yes?)
