I'm a HUGE David Sedaris fan. His writings are just so damn funny. His sister, Amy, is quite famous too for being an oddball.

David's latest book, When you are engulfed in Flames is quite good. My favorite though, is Me talk pretty one day.

If you've got the cash, buy his complete audio-book set. He reads them all, unabridged, and his sister helps as well. He's got this bit about being in gay love with Mike Tyson that is just FREAKING HILARIOUS!! (It's on Barrel Fever, and other stories, the book). Oh dear lord it's hilarious.

You clearly don't work at a university.
I like Sedaris and I enjoy Amy Sedaris' cleavage. If you like him, I think you will enjoy David Rakoffs' Fraud. Particularly entertaining is the essay where he talks about trying to find his sperm bank deposit after 20 years. The essay is entitled "You Don't Know Me But I Used to Bank Here."

I just checked the iTunes store and they have seven of his audio books available plus something called 'The American Life'. On another note, if anyone is interested in purchasing a Stadium Pal of their own, you can view it first. Wikipedia once again raises the bar by having a page regarding a self-inflicted catheter. All Hail Wikipedia!

He used to be a regular on This American Life - which is a great public radio show all by itself. I would check that out too.
